Hi Tom - thanks for chiming in with help. The site will be about 20-25 pages and almost all of them will use the setup with a right and bottom sidebar except for the homepage. Ideally I'd like to have 3 different promotional boxes highlighting a different Genesis Featured Page or Post and maybe just image/text in a bottom widget area for each page. If I can't get them different on every page, I would settle for some reasonable subset to be the same and some different, but would rather not have to settle.

Hi Karla - thanks for replying. Very helpful, but this is only a part of it and I see that I needed to be more clear.

What I need is a widget area on the bottom that can be different for every page. I think that the solution is to move the secondary sidebar to the bottom, then on each page, select a different widget to put into the secondary sidebar. I was able to move the secondary sidebar there, but what I think I am running into is that there needs to be a 'layout' that I can select that has the secondary sidebar on the bottom. So ultimately, I think that I need help on how to define that new layout.

The other solution that I see would be to follow the nuts and bolts solution above, and have a huge "if-then" statement that displays the appropriate sidebar widget for each page, which is an ugly solution and I would rather not do.
