    Thank you Travis, your tips (especially height: auto; and overflow: hidden;) helped me in the right direction. I should be able to fix the visuals now, or at least make them better.

    Thanks for the feedback. Before I read it, I ended up adding the following to Header section of Simple Hooks:

    <div id="header-image"> <a href="http://www.mysite.xyz/another-page.html" id="title-area"  </a></div>

    and that did what I wanted, too. I had to unhook genesis_do_header() function from this hook.

    My next mission is to employ area maps to split the logo into two different links, i.e. right side links to page #1, left side links to page #2. Hopefully it is possible.
