Hi there, I think this is a great start – if I were you I would use a warmer colour than the blue, maybe the orange? it makes me think of fresh food more. You said you are going to take more pics – I would take out the raw meat image as that might put people off – I think fruit or veg might be better.
Hope this helps!April 16, 2015 at 7:30 am in reply to: How to implement cloud.typography by Hoefler & Co. with Genesis #148115PicciaNeriMemberFound solution thanks!
I downloaded header.php from the Genesis core files, pasted the code from cloud.typography, saved and re-uploaded header.php to child theme folder – and it works beautifully. Thanks!
PicciaNeriMemberYou GENIUS.
THANK YOU.
I thought I should use the path for where the custom.css file physically was – but you are right. It now works.
Thank you very much also for the link to Susan's response. Also, I would think there would be other ways of restoring modified CSS should it be wiped out – for instance, you could keep a copy of your style.css file locally.
However, another mystery has been solved for me, and for that I am grateful.
PicciaNeriMemberHere i am again, just failed – I just don't seem to be able to make it work, even with the code snippets. I would like the primary menu (Breathless – installations etc) to be the secondary menu, so that I can make it appear only where relevant. I have used the snippets but can't make it work – with the snippets activated, when I make that menu seconday it simply disappears. I don't really know php so I am not sure whether I need all of the snippets on the http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/ > Navigation Menus. page – however, I have tried different combinations.
Katsummers, it seems to work perfectly for you – would you mind telling me how you got there?
thank you so much
PicciaNeriMemberHey katsummers, your site looks great – I need to do exactly the same and in the process of trying now, would be excellent if you could update on how you did it. thanks to both, Piccia
PicciaNeriMemberThank you – done that – now they are thin strips again the way I like them, but with the huge gap
PicciaNeriMemberHi Lynne, thanks so much for that – I have done what you suggest, where should I take it from there? the big gap has disappeared but now the menu items, of course, are back to being quite thick which is not what I wanted.
thank you very much, Piccia
PicciaNeriMemberAlso, why does the content area sightly shift downwards when hovering on the menu?
