December 29, 2014 at 2:33 pm in reply to: How to right align video and left align text in the same space #135588Paul BurnsMemberTry it without the text widget if possible. I don't use widget on my pages only in the side bar. I use it all the time in my html pages to break up content. I'm not familiar with using widgets on pages?

You can change the padding as you wish. Current padding is 10px on the right for the text and 10px on the left for the video.
[one_half padding="0 10px 0 0"]H4 TEXT HERE[/one_half][one_half_last padding="0 0 0 10px"]VIDEO HERE[/one_half_last]
Paul BurnsMemberNo worries, I have complete rights to the plugin. Did double check thou, and I can do as I wish with the plugin. Appreciate the concern.
The Plugin really cleaned up all the UN-necessary Schema clutter that was being added. I had a Schema Expert build templates for me so I could properly nest all my schema for Bread Crumbs - NAP - Article - MakesOffer - Video - Areas Serviced - BBB - Contact Info - that I've added to some 70 pages. I tried but didn't know how to properly nest everything. The Genesis Schema was interfering with my Schema and is why I bit the bullet and hired a programer.
If any one needs good Schema Markup I can put you in touch with a high quality markup guy who's a contributing member of Google's forum boards. It was very reasonable getting the templates and implementing them myself.
PaulPaul BurnsMemberYou don't want to use IFrame as Google won't index iframes from what I've been researching. YouTube uses iframe and Google wants the video to point back to YouTube.
I found a site that will convert your iframe like mine from Youtube into a video object http://www.tools4noobs.com/online_tools/youtube_xhtml/ it adds their URL at the bottom of the video which is easily removed. You may want to remove some or all of Genesis Schema markup so your schema is not mangled by Genesis see my post by searching for the tag "Genesis Schema Removal"
Here is how I marked up my video schema once I ran it thru the converter. It works great and I checked it out on my Android which played without a hitch. Didn't try it on Apple thou?
' <div itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/VideoObject">
<link itemprop="about" href="http://bathrenovationhq.com/services/bathtub-refinishing/">
<span itemprop="name"> Bathtub Refinishing Performance - Adhesion - Aesthetics.</span>
<meta itemprop="duration" content="T7M6S" />
<meta itemprop="isFamilyFriendly" content="true" />
<link itemprop="thumbnailUrl" href="http://bathrenovationhq.com/wp-content/uploads/bathtub-refinishing-maryland-washington-dc-northern-virginia.jpg">
<link itemprop="contentUrl"><div class="video-container-object"><object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" style="width:640px; height:360px;" data="http://www.youtube.com/v/tl8p6yY0EEc?color2=FBE9EC&border=1&rel=0&hd=1&showsearch=0&version=3&modestbranding=1&fs=1">

<param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" />
<param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" />
</object>
<span itemprop="description">How to get the best performance, adhesion and aesthetics when refinishing your bathtub or tile.</span></div> 'Here is some CSS code to make your videos responsive.
.video-container {
position: relative;
padding-bottom: 56.25%;
padding-top: 30px;
height: 0;
overflow: hidden;
}.video-container iframe,
.video-container object,
.video-container embed {
position: absolute;
top: 0;
left: 0;
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
}
.entry-content img,
.entry-content iframe,
.entry-content object,
.entry-content embed {
max-width: 100%;
}The video schema is showing well in structured data testing too, it may take awhile for the serps to pick it up if at all? Regards Paul
