Here is the link to my site, so you can see the white space beneath my new banner I'm trying to get rid of.

    Thanks again,

Thanks again. I'm very near to what I want, but when I insert the picture, there is about a 1 inch gap of white space between the new banner and the subtitle language. Is there a way to get rid of that extra space?

    Thank you for your help.

Your instructions helped me create the "Before Header" widget area, but when I tried to create a text widget with an image to add there, no image appeared above my header. Instead, it was a very large empty box with a question mark in the middle. Did I add my image wrong in the code?

I assumed that I just (1) add my new banner image to my media library, (2) copy the image's URL, (3) replace this part of the code - http://example.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/logo.png"><img src="http://127.0.0.1:4001/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/logo.png with my picture, and (4) add a text widget inside the new "Before Header" widget area with this new code.

    Where is my mistake?

    Your help is very appreciated!

As a refresher, here is your recommended code to add to a text widget:
