Thanks, I am still a novice when it comes to coding, so I appreciate your help here. Is this what I would use for the code?
.custom-image url(http://singletosmitten.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Marabeth-Banner-Blog.jpg) { padding-bottom: 50px; }
I tried it, but it didn't work for me. 🙁
PainterMommyMemberThere is a spacing issue with the header on the blog page. Any idea on how I can add space below it so that it is not flush up against the content and sidebar?
Here is the link to that page...
http://singletosmitten.com/blog/Here is a link to the main site - this is how it SHOULD look...
I appreciate your help!
PainterMommyMemberSigh... I wish there was an easier way to make the site look good (out of the box) on mobile devices. Right now it doesn't look good at all. 🙁
PainterMommyMemberDoes anyone know how to turn off the responsive thing for the new Lifestyle theme so that the site shows up on mobile just like it does on a regular computer?
PainterMommyMemberIs it possible for the site (on a mobile) to look just like it does on a regular computer instead? How do I turn off the responsive thing?
PainterMommyMemberThanks for the explanation., Do you have any specific suggestions for me on what code (in the media section) I should update or change so that the header will look right on a mobile?
PainterMommyMemberOK, I removed the !important. But I am not sure what you mean about media queries. Do you know the specific code I need to add and where? Forgive me, I am still a novice when it comes to coding.
PainterMommyMemberOK, that does work so that the image doesn't repeat, but the header has a big space below it because of the height. Is there a way to fix that? I just don't like the way the site looks on a mobile. I thought the new Lifestyle theme was mobile friendly???
PainterMommyMemberThanks nutsandbolts. I added the code you suggested which does allow the full header to display on a mobile but like you said, it does repeat vertically. I also added the responsive header plugin but it doesn't seem to be working on the site. Any other suggestions? Can I add some special code for mobiles to define the header differently?
PainterMommyMemberThat worked!!! Thankyou!
PainterMommyMemberThe settings are done but it is no allowing me to do the bulk action by removing comments on the posts. Is that all that can be done? I cannot completely remove it from all posts so that setting doesn't need to be checked each time?
PainterMommyMemberAnyone?
PainterMommyMemberI did not hear back from ya so I wanted to check in. Any ideas on how I can get the blog page to look like the other pages? Right now the image is being pushed down a little too much. I appreciate any help that you might have for me. 🙂
PainterMommyMemberWait, I now realize WHERE I have to add the code - in the image settings (edit image) under "advanced settings" there is a place for "styles". I added your code there and it works! Learned something new! Yay!
PainterMommyMemberThankyou so much.
OK, so here is the image code for the exclamation point. Is this how I would do it?
<img src="http://singletosmitten.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/exclamation.png" width="13" height="44" vertical-align: text-bottom;/>
PainterMommyMemberThat worked for me! Thankyou so much!
PainterMommyMemberAnyone?
PainterMommyMemberThat worked!!! Yay! Thankyou so much!
PainterMommyMemberOK, that seemed to have worked somewhat, but the spacing / padding is off in comparison to the other pages. Here is an example of how it is supposed to look - http://singletosmitten.com/work-with-me/
PainterMommyMemberI added the code in the functions.php. I am not sure what I need to adjust in order to get the page to look like it is supposed to. I wish I was better with code. I am still a novice so I appreciate any help / direction that you might have.
