    Thanks guys, Robin, I have done all of the above - what I wanted to do is exclude category id 166 but the feature doesn't seem to be working for me, nothing happens when I do it and I've even paid for someone to help with this and they said it's not working.

    The reason I used the amplified widget was because I thought it would be another way around it...but appears it's not.

    I've had a quick look at Soliloquy and my only reservation is starting from scratch with the slider again and guessing as I'm going...having already paid for help with the other one.

    If I install Soliloquy and add the images that I want in the correct order and I want the slider to show exactly as it's currently showing is that possible?

    I currently use Simple Hooks and have this code to feature the slider:
    <div class="homeslider">
        <?php dynamic_sidebar( 'homeslider' ); ?>
    </div>
    Do you know by chance how I would do it for soliloquy?
    Thanks,
    Jen

    Oh! Also forgot to mention is it possible just to have the slider on the homepage and nowhere else? Currently the code is showing on each page.

    Ideally would like the code at the bottom of my homepage content or somewhere like that but don't mind if it's under the header either as long as header stays where it is and the slider doesn't show on all the other pages.

    Thanks again.

    Thanks so much Brad.

    Have done that but now the code is showing on the page, is this because I don't have the slider configured correctly or should I substitute parts o the code with something?

    Sorry no coding experience so have no idea what I'm doing...http://nimblewitassistant.com.au/
