Thanks Victor...appreciate your input
mrlennymanMemberYes...thank you
mrlennymanMemberI tried changing the images Carasmo.
I saved them again as 800*300 (twice the recommended size)
But the colour logo still comes out blurry - I am not sure what the difference can be.
I saved them and uploaded them in the exact same wayCan you see why they are different?

My bad...I will email you there.
Thank you and apologiesSeptember 20, 2017 at 8:37 am in reply to: Trying to make background color vanish or be totally opaque #211656mrlennymanMemberHey Erika,
Thank you for your suggestions - very much appreciated.
I have created a work around based on your suggestions...
I checked out your own site there and was wondering if you charge $20 per hour for all grpahic and design work...or only as an add-on if you have bought a package already? Many thanks
JohnmrlennymanMemberThank you Victor and Erika...
I tried your suggestion Victor and it has worked perfectly.
I appreciate you taking the time to help!
Cheers
JohnmrlennymanMemberThank you for the reply Sridhar. I see the same when I inspect the code. But when I physically view the site on a mobile device, the font does not change. I am unable to figure out why this is and that is why I am here.
Are you able to look at the site on a mobile device? Does the font stay or change? I have tried removing the caching plugins and resetting my phones but it still persists. Are there any other bits of code I might be missing?
mrlennymanMemberThanks Susan...not sure what is going on - they appear on some and not on others...
mrlennymanMemberI removed the extra one as it looked really hacked on and unprofessional. If you let me know when you are online again, I will add it in and see what you can make of it.
Thanks for your help.mrlennymanMemberThank you for your prompt response... really appreciated. I have added the code as you describe and the following is the result http://getpaidfortheworkthatyoudo.com/.
Is there a way to mimic the stylings and layout of the main Menu which comes with the theme? I would like it to be horizontal and boxed etc.mrlennymanMemberI figured it out. Thank you!
mrlennymanMemberAh great...sorry I missed that.
Wow...what an amazing tool..I wonder why firebug or inspector don't have that....
Chrome inspector is my new favourite tool...I feel like such a geek even saying that!!!!
Thanks again 🙂mrlennymanMemberThanks for that and yes, I did manage to fix it up.
This overview you showed doesn't say how to change the css for mobile devices though...how can you right click and inspect a mobile device!>!?????mrlennymanMemberOK cheers, thanks for that...
I have taken the site off maintenance mode and here is the correct url: http://www.travelkidsclub.com
If you look on mobile the menu over laps with the top of the first widget,
How do I correct the margin at the bottom of the menu so it works correctly on all mobiles? I cannot see this in the editor.
mrlennymanMemberBy the way, one last thing...I just had a quick look on the mobile site and there is a lot of padding around the image which is quite small.
Do you know where the media settings in css are to add the same styling to the display in mobile devices?
Thanks again.
mrlennymanMemberOne step indeed!!
Thanks heaps...that has gotten me very close to what I want. Much appreciated. I'll be working with a new image in that position tomorrow so will wait for any final adjustments until then.
Thanks again for your time and patience...it means a lot.
mrlennymanMemberOK...that looks a lot better as it is now 100% wide...
But it appears that it has still removed the padding from other widgets too...but I like the way it looks now - thank youThere is still white space at the bottom of the image which I would like to be removed if possible, without removing that space from the other widgets
mrlennymanMemberI tried them both and still doesn't seem to do anything.
If I created a pic which matched the background that could possibly work too. I could create the image accordingly, with the padding included (if that makes sense.
Do you know how to change the colour of the individual "Front-page widgets"?
mrlennymanMemberI tried that...doesn't seem to recognize that instruction - nothing changes.
Any other ideas for it?
mrlennymanMemberThanks for that.
I followed those instructions, but that changes the padding on ALL the widgets, not just the second one.
Is it possible to change the padding for just one of the widgets, while leaving the others at their original levels?
Cheers for your help -
