No, I haven't purchased the theme yet, 'cause I have only looked at the demo on studiopress about a hundred times to be sure that it really does go from content sidebar on the archive page to content with no sidebar on the single post when I click on one on the post archive page.

However, you have indeed answered my question — and I appreciate you helping me out Anita.

The reason I asked is that the demo DEFINITELY DOES NOT SHOW A SIDEBAR on single post (on my end)...Even though it definitely does show it as an option. In the demo that option is on the archive page but goes away on a single post?

I think I can buy it and then request a return if it works like that, but I was just wondering if anyone using it could verify it one way or the other.

simply because I like the theme, but need the sidebar on single post?

Glad to help. I know how aggravating it can be to search the web for days for an answer to what should be a simple problem to fix.

And I am sure glad we have this forum to help with really simple stuff like this.

Why don't you try this, since it seems like a)the people here either know less than you? or b) they simply don't like your avatar c) they don't have time to fool with real simple solutions

The only thing i presently have in the theme is a read more code in the php

I actually destroyed the themes files yesterday trying to find out what was wrong, deleted the theme from my server, and reinstalled it fresh..........I still have the same problem...

Of course that makes me assume that it something I am simply doing wrong??

Yes, I did put that into my functions.php file, and it did not alter anything.

Then I removed it.

I have had this theme for a couple of months, and I have always been trying to figure this out. I have deleted the theme, and reinstalled it, I have removed all of the code I had inserted into functions file for various other improvements, I have disabled all of my plugins, but still have not seen a change.

I figure it’s something I am doing wrong, but don’t know what it is?
