    I ended up just making it an ahref link for now but it didn't change anything - it's still only showing half the page. Any ideas? Thank you.

    Ok so after more research, it turns out the problem was actually the image inserted into the upper right of the body -- once I removed that, the page adjusted just fine. So now I'm back to wondering how I can bring back the slideshow, either as an iframe or otherwise, and have it resized automatically per the viewing device.

    Right now it's ok on desktop but doesn't show well on iPhone.

    Dev page: http://bigrockinvestments.com/listings/pearl-city-townhouse-4br-renovated-2/

    slideshow to be imported: http://www.hirephoto.com/haleola26b/slideshow

    Thank you.

    Thanks - good catch on the fixed widths. That's a slideshow that my photographer hosts on his site (the hirephoto.com/.... )and I was trying to embed it to keep visitors on my site instead of linking out. When I tried using width and/or height=100% in the iframe, I would only get full width, never more than half height. So that's when I went to fixed width/height. I don't own the slideshow itself, so my options to embed may be limited.

    Hi Brad - I'm reopening up an old thread here - hope you're watching. Regarding bigrockinvestments.com , I recently changed themes from AgentPress 2.0 to Lifestyle Pro. I wanted to keep the same functionality that you kindly showed here. I copied over the same code block into the functions.php and put in some dummy text into the newly created widget, however I don't see anything on the actual site (ex. bigrockinvestments.com/intangibles-selling-house-hawaii/).

    Of course, I've cleared caches and CDN. Is there something else I may have to do given the new theme? Thanks.

    Hi - bumping this. I have a deadline to have this figured out by the end of the day today, so I'm hoping for some feedback 🙂 Thank you.

    Hi - did you figure out how to do the overlay? I'm trying to implement a hero image on my site as well.

    Following up on this thread as it's what I'm trying to do at funthingsapp.com

    I'd like to more closely mirror the layout on badoo.com . How do I:

    1) Move the text/image overlay to the right side of the screen instead of the left

    2) Once moved to the right, have it inset some instead of flush against the edge of the screen. Maybe 50px in.

    3) Have the background overlay color be a complete shape, i.e. rounded oval, instead of a "boxy" line by line behind the text. Just like they do on badoo.com

    Thank you.

    Thanks. The bold and background color work, but not the font color. For whatever reason, it just ignores that line.

    I took the easy way out - I just looked at the original style.css and copied the entire @media section over my own. I'll try to avoid any more tweaking - or at least monitor it better.

    Thank you. I'll look into those settings, but it was responsive out of the box (Lifestyle theme). And just since late yesterday it became unresponsive (as opposed to me building in the responsiveness myself). Even the video was responsive. Everything was fine - until it wasn't.

    Of course, I don't know what I did to change it or at what specific point it happened, otherwise I'd just revert.

    @nutsandbolts - what would my other option be from the grid loop? I don't want to have to make that adjustment every time I upload a new post. I'm just using it now 'out of the box'.

    @RobG
    - Thanks that works, but I'd rather just have it happen automatically upon each new post. Unfortunately in this theme, there's no widget section to put a Featured Posts widget into.

    Any other thoughts? I don't know how to do this in the CSS, but it appears that's where the change needs to be made. There's no Featured area in this theme, so I can't do it in the widgets. I still want the latest post being featured front and center, but just as a smaller excerpt than the main article.

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks - tried that but no change (and cleared cache). Right now it's at Display Post Excerpts.

    Got it! Sometimes you just have to come back another day and look all over again - especially when you're a code rookie 🙂

    I just had to add the line:

    padding: 0px 40px 0px 0px;

    to the #home-sections block in the @media section for 1200

    Well somehow, that problem seems to have corrected itself. The wide layout is sticking on the iPhone. But now I have a separate problem.

    I've reduced my Home Sections at the bottom to just one section. My images in a text widget span the width of the page when viewed on a laptop. But on an iPhone, they only span the first half before wrapping around, as if there's another column in the second half. I looked at the @media section of style.css and I guess I haven't come up with the winning combination to make it behave the same way.

    Any thoughts? http://funthingsapp.com/dev (Outreach theme)

    Thank you.

    Well, I thought I had it fixed. Guess not. What happens now is that the correct wider layout appears when you reload or first visit the page. But if you then click into any subpage and then hit the back button, the stacked layout appears. I have to reload the screen if I want the wider layout to reappear.

    I tried making the change you suggested, even going to 25%, but it didn't make a difference. -- Have a great weekend as well 🙂
