Wow, never mind. I was changing this code...
.enews-widget {
background-color: #686868;
}clearly not the correct one. I got it now. Thanks.
Note to self, don't do this at your day job!
masonjarsaladsMemberNo worries. Yes, I meant I had changed that in the past. I've now added the .sidebar and changed the color to #fff and it's the same.
hmm....
masonjarsaladsMemberYes, I did that and it doesn't work for me.
February 6, 2014 at 11:39 am in reply to: Can I remove the "you may use these HTML tags and attributes….." #88964masonjarsaladsMemberNot sure why that happened...here's the code
<abbr title=""> <acronym title=""> <b>
<cite>
<i> <q cite=""> <strike>masonjarsaladsMemberAny advice I still haven't figure this out.
Thanks in advance.
masonjarsaladsMemberThank you, that worked. Is there a way to make it translucent so that it doesn't cover the logo?
masonjarsaladsMemberI added margin-bottom: 2rem; on the simple social icons plug-in css page.
masonjarsaladsMemberAny advice, I still haven't figured this out.
Thanks!
masonjarsaladsMemberThank you Marcy that worked.
masonjarsaladsMemberThis was caused by the "Pin it button for images" by Cahan. plug-in, just in case it's happening to anyone else. I haven't found a resolution yet.
masonjarsaladsMemberWorked like a charm. Thank you for your help, have a great day!
masonjarsaladsMemberThanks that worked.
masonjarsaladsMemberThat's what I thought I had read thanks for clarification.
masonjarsaladsMemberah, so I was on the right track. Is it OK to use just px and remove rem? That's a good tip, thanks for your help again!
masonjarsaladsMemberwhoops I'm editing it now, here's another example..thanks
masonjarsaladsMemberI could use the answer to this as well. Thanks for asking!
January 13, 2014 at 8:12 am in reply to: How to remove meta tags from archive view -Lifestyle theme #84955masonjarsaladsMemberThis worked for me at the end of my php file....I am using the sample theme. I've tried several different codes at this point.
add_filter( 'genesis_post_meta', 'remove_post_meta_home_page' );
function remove_post_meta_home_page($post_meta) {
if ( !is_home() ) {
$post_meta = '';
return $post_meta;
}}masonjarsaladsMemberThank you, that didn't work for me. I removed this and it seemed to do the trick...
.entry-content a {
border-bottom: 1px solid #ddd;
color: #686868;
}masonjarsaladsMemberIn case anyone else isn't sure how to do this I figured it out. This method could be time consuming but since I'm just getting started and don't have many blog posts it's easy for me. Basically I created a "page" for each category and used the "recipes" page as the parent for each. On the recipes page I linked the category to the appropriate page. On each category page I linked each appropriate blog post. Now there is a recipe index of categories, and an index within each category. I haven't styled them yet and plan to insert images. This is just the most basic way to do it, I think.
