MemberThanks again. I thought the demo.xml would import all of the demo posts etc and lay out the content as per the demo???
is that not the case?liferightfoundation
MemberThanks for the tip re: the menu. Still looks nothing like the demo that I've imported though? I don't care if it looks identical, as I will be able to work from there with our own content... It just doesn't!!

MemberHey Andrea, I took everything out and started again and it's worked OK. I am happy it's working although would have been happier to know what I was doing wrong!!
Thank you for your help 🙂liferightfoundation
MemberThey were already there, as I had put the widgets in first... but they all dumped the content over the left side.
You were right about it needing styling!!Might it be better to start from scratch?
Thanks

MemberI changed it to 3 so that the code would be correct...

MemberNo [puzzled look!]
The content was still in the widgets. Should I take it out and replace them?
Thanks for your help... Feel a bit of a dummy!liferightfoundation
MemberThanks Andrea. rather predictably it didn't work! No doubt something I am doing wrong!
I tried cutting and pasting the code, taking out all the line numbers (and also trying with them left in too) but it made no difference to the site 🙁
[sighs]!liferightfoundation
MemberI have the same problem here but, as a complete novice with coding, i am unsure as to where to put this code.
I tried adding it to the end of the functions.php file but it didn't work, throwing up an error code.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

MemberHi Brook.
I did delete it... i took out everything I added and saved the file, but the error still remained. I restored it to how it was but the error didn't go 🙁liferightfoundation
MemberI don't Rob, no. (but happy to learn!)
I don't use cpanel with this website... I can use an ftp programme to edit the .php file in textedit....
Thank you for your help. I really appreciate itliferightfoundation
MemberHi Rob
Added it from this page http://my.studiopress.com/tutorials/add-footer-widgets/<?php
//* Do NOT include the opening php tag//* Add support for 4-column footer widgets
add_theme_support( 'genesis-footer-widgets', 4 );Can't get into the site at all now... not even to edit it 🙁
I am a novice (obviously)!
