Thanks Erik. Guess I will stop trying to remove what cannot be removed. 🙂
I appreciate al of your input on this![email protected]MemberThanks again. So I can't do anything to stop them from being included during installation?
[email protected]MemberThanks Erik.
Removing them is easy but how do I re-package it? My goal is that when I apply the theme to new sites those widgets won't be in the sidebar.
[email protected]MemberNo problem. Yes, I don't want all the widgets that are installed by default in the sidebar widget area such as Recent Posts, Recent Comments, Archives, Categories, Meta. Thanks!

[email protected]MemberHi Christoph. That isn't a bad solution at all but I'm thinking that something static would be easier to move and maintain. If I created 100+ sites using the backup/restore method it might be difficult update those sites. Thanks for giving this some thought.
[email protected]MemberThank you Tonya. This worked great for me! 🙂
It also gives me something to follow up on and reference for future development. I am just getting into Genesis but I am very eager to learn more tips and tricks. Right now I'm relying on a couple Lynda.com tutorials but if you have any other recourses you would recommend for learning Genesis I'd be super grateful.
Thanks again! I hope you have an extra fantastic weekend!
[email protected]MemberThe genesis slider itself has an option labelled, Hide Title & Content on Mobile Devices. Once I unchecked that option the excerpts began to display on mobile devices as expected. Thanks everyone.
[email protected]MemberThanks guys. The excerpts show up fine in small browser windows on my desktop but not on my phone.
I have been working with the CSS and media queries and they are not set to display none.Any ideas specific to an iphone why they don't show?
