Option 3 is definitely the easiest...to me anyway.
However, previously I did try following the CSS instructions for the Sample Theme, however Epik doesn't have an option under Theme Settings to use an Image as the title area. At least that seemed to be the piece missing.
Thanks for the help.
Thank you, Jared
keyelementmediaMemberSo, I went to add the image via CSS, however the information I found uses the Genesis Theme Options to select Image for the Header, which I've seen in other themes. However I do not see it here. Not sure if that is unique to the Epik theme or if that is something Genesis took out?
So how would it best be added?
Thank you, Jared
keyelementmediaMemberIt was added via Appearance > Customize
I added the code you listed to the functions.php file and didn't see a change in the markup?
Thank you, Jared
keyelementmediaMemberThank you. On a computer it looks good, the iPad I'll worry about later.
Thank you, Jared
keyelementmediaMemberThanks for the info. I've completed the steps, however I don't notice a change.
I put in the 3 widget area classes in Step 2, in this case .welcome-feature-1, .welcome-feature-2, .welcome-feature-3....perhaps I didn't put those in correctly?
Thank you, Jared
keyelementmediaMemberThank you for the suggestion. It was listed at 3, and syndication at 10.
Thank you, Jared
keyelementmediaMemberI haven't gotten back to this, so it is not where I'd prefer it to be. I'd just like it moved over to the right more so it fits better between the left side of the site and the menu. Not necessarily centered, but definitely more to the right.
Thank you, Jared
keyelementmediaMemberPerfect. Thank you.
Thank you, Jared
keyelementmediaMemberThis seems to work out, I just had to add some more CSS to style the new menu like the current one.
Thank you.
Thank you, Jared
keyelementmediaMemberThis appears to pertain to widget specifically...so you are suggesting I'd have two custom menus? One would appear on some pages as needed and the other the same....? That could work and is probably easier than keeping track of pages by ID in CSS....
Thank you, Jared
keyelementmediaMemberI thought about this, however that utilizes a secondary menu option and mine is in header.
Thank you, Jared
keyelementmediaMemberIn Executive Pro they do not use that method...it would appear they made it to be 3 columns and only provided a Home Top and Home Middle area, both of which are set to have a widget width of 33%
Thank you, Jared
keyelementmediaMemberShould have mentioned that, I'd like them to be different sizes.
More like 30% and 70%
Thank you, Jared
keyelementmediaMemberIt would appear the Tagline Left area displays the sites description and to make it a widget area you must modify the theme accordingly, this is via Studiopress support.
Thank you, Jared
keyelementmediaMemberYour URL would help, but it sounds like you have text and a logo in the header?
Thank you, Jared
keyelementmediaMemberNo....however I did modify the slug for the parent category, which apparently caused an issue.
Thank you
Thank you, Jared
keyelementmediaMemberI took the padding and margin out, which allowed the spacing to be consistent.
Thank you
Thank you, Jared
keyelementmediaMemberGetting closer, thanks for the help. I removed the table border and just put a div around the table with a border, which seems to be easier.
The main issue now is the bottom TD's don't seem to have the same spacing as the images. They appear to be missing a pixel or two. The white lines are thinner between the bottom TD's.
I wonder if it would be easier to but a DIV within the TD, display block and have it fill in the background that way?
Thank you
Thank you, Jared
keyelementmediaMemberPerfect, thank you. I'd forgotten it was a background image.
Thank you, Jared
keyelementmediaMemberThat did get the image to show, thank you. Her example images on her site are so small you can't read any of the text. The text title shows centered, I'd like the image to be centered as well. I checked the CSS for and text-align is set to center, but I don't see anything to put the image center?
Thank you, Jared
