ParticipantNevermind. I figured it out. In case anyone else is wondering, just replace the force layout in your front-page.php with the one from here of your choice: http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/admin-management/#force-layout-settings

ParticipantFor some reason, I think that code on the setup page is wrong. I had the same issue. You have to change the class of the button:
<div class="alignright"><a class="cta-button" href="your link here">Your Button Text</a></div>

ParticipantDave,
Thanks for that. When I put your code in, it does indeed nuke the underlines for my text links as well, which I don't want.
When I try this:
.sidebar .textwidget a img { border-bottom: 0; }
Nothing changes. I'm stumped.

ParticipantThanks for that, Anita. I 'un-removed' the other sidebar option, but there's no sidebar alt in the CSS. I'll dig around and see if I can scavenge some code from another theme.
Would copying all the existing sidebar CSS and renaming it 'sidebar-alt' work? Maybe I'll try that.

ParticipantI ended up going with WooCommerce and have been really happy so far. I was able to integrate it relatively easily with Genesis using the StudioPress plugin and there doesn't seem to any issues. I'm not 100% happy with some of the styling of the plugin with regards to the storefront, but that's an issue of my not knowing the CSS well enough to tweak it, not any failing of the plugin.

ParticipantDreamdancer,
Thanks so much for the scoop. I'll keep you in mind if I have issues.
Just installed the plugin on a demo site I have and OMG is it ever impressive. HOLY COW!

ParticipantJust curious, I'm researching options and have been impressed with WooCommerce. Does anyone know if PayPal Feature is fixed now?

ParticipantEric,
No. Those are the results of a listings search through the drop downs on the homepage. I just assumed it pulled the same styling as the Featured Listings widget, because it looks the same.

ParticipantEric,
No dice. Bizarre. I'd tried pretty much the same thing. I replaced the code in both archive-listings.php and the AgentPress Featured Listings portion of functions.php with your code still, no luck.
Thanks tho.

ParticipantThanks David,
I'll dig around a bit in that direction.

ParticipantSusan,
I was told by Studiopress support that there wasn't a way to do this. Yet.
What I ended up doing was putting 2 Feature Post widgets in the same spot and then having the client use different Post Categories for the ones they wanted to remain 'Sticky'. It's kind of wonky with the spacing and the widget titles, but it's working ok for now. 🙂
If you're curious, you can see it in action here: http://www.fdsa.org - in the 2nd from left widget area.

ParticipantAnita,
Whoops. Thanks. That's my site, I do want comments there. 🙂
I was asking in reference to a client site. Sorry about the confusion - I should have been more specific. I've installed the Askimet plugin and we'll see how that goes.

ParticipantKathie,
I sent you this in a private reply, but upon reading I guess only I and administrators or moderators can see that? I'm not really sure how private replies work so I wasn't sure you would see it. Reposting here.
Thanks for the kind words. As a bit of a hack myself I’m flattered to be asked for advice once, as opposed to me usually soliciting it!
The calendar plugin is the All-InOne-Event Calendar by Time.ly. You can find it by searching the WordPress plugins in the Admin. It’s AWESOME. I’ve used it on 5 or 6 sites now. A massive number of options and features. Only thing I haven’t played with is customizing the look/themes, but I know you can via CSS.
The Facebook area is just an HTML text widget – feel free to just grab the code and use another Facebook Icon if you want.
The menu in the black bar is a Custom Menu widget placed in the ‘Header Right’ sidebar on the widgets page.
Good luck! If you have other questions - feel free to post up again!

ParticipantJennifer,
Thanks for that. With my limited CSS skills though, I can find the ul.menu section, but I'm not seeing where the top margin is set? Can you give me a hint?

ParticipantNope. Getting rid of the font didn't solve the issue. Also looks the same (messed up) on a co-workers machine running Chrome here as well. Very bizarre.
