Hi Rose,

I can only speak about the Beaver Builder plugin - it seems to only fully work with Dynamik versus the Genesis framework or any of its other child themes as the documentation (the code for the custom css and custom page template) is just not out there, unfortunately, as far as I can see. Adding Dynamik seems like an expensive solution (in time and money).

The folks over at Beaver Builder should knuckle down to producing more extensive and complete documentation to cover non-Dynamik Genesis solutions, but if you already have and know your way around Dynamik, you're in luck with Beaver Builder!

Yes, I did try it on the default 2014 theme and it does appear to be a WP problem. No doubt the above solutions have worked in the past but new iterations of WP must be inadvertently foiling the workarounds.

I've even tried to adjust the jpeg compression in the wp-admin/includes/image-edit.php file but WP keeps compressing nonetheless. Frustrating, but the code to compress must reside somewhere.

I usually use FTP myself, but I have been having other issues with my Synthesis Hosting service (forcing jpeg compression) and found this editor access missing. Thanks for telling me that it was your web host that disabled this access.

I tried the plugin you cited, but it doesn't work either unfortunately. I guess this is a bug in Genesis?

Thanks Andrea - the selection would be a city selector on a landing page and choosing any city would send you to the same page albeit with different widget areas depending on which city you chose.
