Is there any way to do this without editing the .php code? I run the theme on a multi site and only need to change the header for a few sites.

I keep running into this issue with many of my clients. I get 3-4 requests per week for a full width header on several of the StudioPress themes - very frustrating that support for a full width header is not built in to the themes.
