January 19, 2016 at 5:58 pm in reply to: Remove hard coded search in No Sidebar theme and add widget area in its place #176973jdanielMember
Two questions:
1. Why "remove_action( 'genesis_header', 'ns_search', 13 );" and not simply delete this part?
//* Add search form to site header add_action( 'genesis_header', 'ns_search', 13 ); function ns_search() { get_search_form(); }
2. How can I style the .right-navigation extras (e.g. twitter icon instead of search)?
jdanielMemberSure! Simply post this code in the front-page.php:
//* Display a headline above the front page articles
add_action( 'genesis_before_content', 'ns_title_frontpage' );
function ns_title_frontpage() {echo '<div class="ns-frontpage"><h2 class="archive-title">Stories</h2></div>';
}December 11, 2015 at 4:46 am in reply to: No Sidebar Pro Theme: Secondary Navigation: Align center – how? #173519jdanielMemberI still couldn't solve this puzzle. If you guys have any ideas please let me know...
jdanielMemberOk, I solved this one, too. Can be closed or deleted.
December 11, 2015 at 4:45 am in reply to: No Sidebar Pro Theme: Change front page featured image size #173517jdanielMemberWell, I changed it back to the original proportions now. So this thread can be closed or deleted too.
jdanielMemberIn the meanwhile I already solved this one too. Can be closed or deleted.
December 11, 2015 at 4:43 am in reply to: How to filter articles in No Sidebar Theme front page? #173515jdanielMemberGreat Susan, thank you - exactly what I was looking for. Works great!
jdanielMemberOk, I solved it myself.
But what I couldn't solve:
1. How can I add a three columns footer widget that looks like http://nosidebar.com/ (footer!)?
2. How can I add another widget after(!) the seven post entries / between the post entries and the footer widget area? I registered them, but I don't know how to include them on the front-page.php.I tried this:
function ns_front_featured_image() { if ( $image = genesis_get_image( array( 'format' => 'url', 'size' => 'ns-featured', ) ) ) { printf( '<a class="ns-featured-image" href="' . get_permalink() . '" style="background-image: url(%s)"></a>', $image ); } } function ns_homepage_widgets() { if ( is_active_sidebar( 'home-bottom-2' ) ) { echo '<div>'; genesis_widget_area( 'home-bottom-2', array( 'before' => '<div class="home-bottom-2 widget-area">', 'after' => '</div>', ) ); echo '</div>'; } } //* Run the Genesis function genesis();
But I guess the code function ns_homepage_widgets() is not working in no sidebar.
Hm. Any ideas?
December 8, 2015 at 6:29 am in reply to: No Sidebar Pro Theme: Change front page featured image size #173191jdanielMemberThanks, Susan! But at the front page a ns-featured is still required, right? How does the theme then know what size to use? Don't I have to change something else, too?
jdanielMemberThanks, Christoph!
Good to know!
