Victor,
I deleted a bunch of WordPress Plugins that weren't needed and that solved the issue
Thanks
hectc7MemberThank Victor,
I disabled the BWP minify plug-in and it improved things. How can I fix my broken HTML?
Thanks!
hectc7MemberVictor,
I added
<script>
code
</script>
to the code, its still showing up.How do I add script to Tag Manager?
Thanks!
hectc7MemberI want to be able to add widgets to some of my non-front pages because the standard "Digital Pro" Theme's page templates are narrow, boring and only able to add footer or side widgets.
So for example,
1)I want to add a grid widget to my about page, to make a grid of my company team's pictures along with their bio's
2) I want to add a "resource" page with tutorials my company has created. That --I think-- can only be achieved with widgets. The standard page templates only allow me to add pics from "My Media Library" or add a side bar widget which would not help me in the cases I mentioned above
Thanks!
Thanks
hectc7MemberI copied front-page.php file, pasted it it to custom-page.php. Added custom-page.php to my theme. Custom Page shows up on my back end as a template.. so far so good.
I created a new page, and set the customized page template as its template, however, when I go to customize it, It only allows me to add 3 footer widgets. Meaning there is still only 3 footer widget areas.
What could I have done wrong??
hectc7MemberOk, so After I create the custom-page.php ,change the function name, add it to my digital pro theme folder file via Filezilla, then what happens?
Where does that new custom page template show up on my WordPress dashboard?
Thanks!
hectc7MemberOK, SO sorry. Front-page.php DOES EXIST in my Child theme via http://FTP... Who Feels like a fool right now????
ME<-----------This GUY!!
Thanks for all the help... I'll be quiet now 🙂
hectc7MemberActually, my GENESIS PARENT THEME does not have a front-page.php -- either --as you can see by this screenshot
Thanks!
hectc7MemberOne more question I have.
As you can see by this screenshot, Digital Pro is a CHILD THEME.And therefore, even if I use FTP, would have to access the front-page.php file through the GENESIS PARENT THEME. Which means when there is an update, all the code would be replaced by the default and my changes would be gone?
Am I understanding this correctly??
Thanks for all your responses BTW.
hectc7MemberThanks for the code.
However, I'm new to this. Can you please instruct me on what wordpress file I should post this on and where in the file.
I posted it at the very bottom of my Digital Pro Child Theme's functions.php file and I broke my site. hehehe
Thanks!
hectc7MemberFound out that my problem was that I was writing the code within the comments section of the CSS file, so css was seeing my code as a comment and not as something I was asking it to execute.
hectc7MemberThis helps a lot!
Thank you!!
hectc7MemberI added the image to my WordPress library, however:
How do I apply a CSS class to the image?Wordpress only allows me to add an alt image tag , caption description.
Thanks!!
hectc7MemberSorry for the newbie response.
The code you referenced me to worked. Thanks again! However I had a question. Why did I rely on the functions.php file to change something in the navigation menu.
Shouldn't have I added the code you provided me to the header.phpI guess I am thinking this way cause I attribute hearer.php and navigation menu to the top of a page. This might just be newbie mentality 😉
Thanks!
