Ok, I set up a fresh staging site to test the issue fully. I also tested creating a CPT with Toolset and PODS just to make sure it's not what I'm using to create the post type.

hashimwarrenMemberthumbs up, Brad.
I've been in contact with support and I've been chatting in their Slack channel.
For what it's worth, at first Beaver Builder support thought it was a bug on their end.
The support person had me give him a temp login, and he tried a bunch of stuff before declaring it was their fault, not mine.
Then later that day they contacted me again and said it was a Genesis issue because they can get comments to show with another theme. They pointed me to your tutorial on comments and CPTs.
I was skeptical, so...I joined the Genesis Slack channel and asked if others have to do something special to get their comments to show on CPTs. I followed the advice, including checking my settings and doing the tutorial.
I then contacted Genesis support and they asked me to post in this forum.
I contacted Genesis support again and they suggested a conflict with another plugin. And now I'm here.
I'll ask again if the Beaver Builder community is having this issue.
hashimwarrenMemberok, another update:
Genesis Theme support said the comments on CPTs should appear by default.
They suggested checking to see what happens when I turn off Beaver Builder and Themer.
And they were right - the comments on my CPT appear!
So, here's what we have:
1. Comments on CPT appear when I use Beaver Builder/Themer and another theme, like twentyseventeen
2. Comments also appear when I use Genesis but turn off Beaver Builder / Themer.Where do I go from here? My two favorite tools have some type of conflict!
hashimwarrenMemberSo either I'm doing the tutorial wrong, or another plugin is causing an issue, or I've found a bug!
hashimwarrenMemberThanks Brad. Yes I've double checked comment settings on my site, Genesis, and my individual post.
I can get comments on posts right now.
And when I switch my theme to twentyseventeen the comments show up for my cpt
