Update:
I figured part of it out replacing the "Entries" code from the style sheets. Now I just need to figure out how to eliminate the content after the pic and change the title size and font on the pic.
Cheers,

Hank......."Hi Hank,
Thanks for contacting us with your question.
1) Is it possible to change the header color with out changing the background color?
To change the background color of the site title area, locate the following code in the style.css file and add the line of code as per my comments on the right of the code:
.title-area {
background-color: #fff; /* change this to your liking */
float: left;
padding: 10px 0;
width: 360px;
}2) How do I change the site title font in the header?
To change the font of the site title, locate the following code in the style.css file and change the code as per my comments on the right of the code:
.site-title {
font-family: Lato,sans-serif; /* change this to your desired font */
font-size: 36px;
font-weight: 900;
letter-spacing: 1px;
line-height: 1;
margin-bottom: 0;
text-transform: uppercase;
}Please note that you need to have the font loaded to your site. This tutorial will help: http://wpsites.net/web-design/fonts-wordpress/
3) How do I eliminate the dates on the blog featured image on the home page?
To remove the date in the theme, you can use this snippet in the functions.php file: http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/entry-header/#remove-entry-meta
If you need further assistance with customizing the design of your site, I would recommend to post your question in our community forum as another user may have done something similar to what you are trying to achieve and would be willing to share their code and process with you: http://studiopress.community
HankDG6978MemberThanks Brad!
HankDG6978MemberBrad,
Does it matter where I add the code on the style.css sheet? Beginning, end, etc?
Rookie 🙂
Hank
HankDG6978MemberHankDG6978MemberBrad,
I added:
remove_action(
'genesis_loop'
,
'genesis_do_loop'
);
to my Minimum Theme looking for the same effect as above. Â However, once I do that I'm missing something. Â It's still shows a blog post if there are any.
What am I missing?
Thanks
Hank
