I copied the global.js from cafe theme
modify the function.php
and add the css in style.css

All works!

The answer:
go to Settings > Reading and make sure you don't have a specific page set for the blog posts!

Interesting question.
I prefer this menu that allows you to save (precious) space on mobile devices...
