    Something like this should do the trick for the categories widget:

    .widget_categories .widget-wrap {
    background: #CCE8FF;
    padding: 20px;
    }

    Wishlist member SUCKS. I mean it really REALLY sucks. It conflicts with genesis in a number of ways and is just generally annoying to work with,

    They encrypt all of their plugin files so the only way to interact with the plugin is using their limited API.

    You might want to check out http://www.memberpress.com/and http://pippinsplugins.com/tag/restrict-content-pro/ as alternatives.

    Sam,

    Yes, Yoast will integrate with Genesis effortlessly. Yoast uses Genesis for his own site. http://yoast.com/

    Probably the easiest way is to install Yoast's WordPress SEO plugin. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-seo/

    It'll help your site in a lot of other ways and there's a built in function to strip the /category/ from your permalinks.

    Are you running the latest version of Genesis?

    If not, change the name of the folder for Simple Hooks via FTP and then update Genesis before changing it back to the default folder name and reactivating it.

    It wasn't intended to be rude. Not everyone needs to, or should, learn how to write code. Sometimes it's better to hire a professional.

    I don't waste my time trying to fix my car because it's not a good use of my time. Could I learn how if I wanted to? Probably. Should I? I doubt it.

    I just figured I'd throw it out there as an option. Plus, I threw in the Extender plugin as another one in case hiring someone didn't sound like a good idea either.

    I hope this doesn't sound rude, but if you're having  trouble editing a CSS file, you might want to consider hiring a professional to customize your theme for you.

    You could also take a look at something like  the Genesis Extender Plugin: http://genesis.extenderplugin.com/

    I don't personally use or recommend it, but a lot of people like the fact that it makes it easier to edit different aspects of your child theme.

    Use responsive design. Period.

    There are some cases where a separate mobile site is still the best option, but as web technology advances these situations are getting more rare every day.

    For most people on this forum, there's no reason to create a separate mobile site. This is especially true when you consider that there are so many great responsive Genesis themes already available.

    Responsive design is the future. As we continue to develop the technique, it will be combined with server-side technology more and more. The goal is to create a seamless user experience that is device agnostic. You may as well get used to working this way now.

    February 4, 2013 at 3:45 pm in reply to: Import Listings into Agentpress #18030
    Robert Neu
    Member

    There are a number of ways you could do this, but all of them would require a little custom work.

    If I were going to do it, I would probably convert the CSV into a MySQL file using something like http://www.convertcsvtomysql.com/ and make sure all the fields match up to the AgentPress post type and taxonomy data that you've created.

    Another option would be to try using a CSV Importing plugin such as http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/csv-importer/

    I'm sure there will probably be some headaches involved with that as well. Have you considered using any of the MLS integrations for WordPress?

    I'm not seeing any border other than what you've added in photoshop. There is a bit of padding around the images though.

    If you edit this line:

    img.centered,
    img.alignleft,
    img.alignright,
    img.alignnone,
    .post-image,
    .wp-caption {

        background: #FFFFFF;
        border: none;
        padding: 1px;

    }

    to look like this:

    img.centered,
    img.alignleft,
    img.alignright,
    img.alignnone,
    .post-image,
    .wp-caption {

        border: none;

    }

    You should see that 1px white line removed.

    Thanks for the feedback guys! I've also implemented Relevanssi and conditionally limited the search box to ensure searches return the correct results. So far everything seems to be working correctly! 🙂

    Thanks for the feedback. After looking at it again, I think you were right so I've added a bit of padding to those text boxes and updated the content slightly to fit in a little better.

    We're also creating some nice sidebar graphics to encourage people to donate and putting together a custom donation page so that people can donate directly on the site instead of just having a PayPal button. 🙂

    January 3, 2013 at 2:20 am in reply to: News Theme – Combine Header Image Into Spirit #9130
    Robert Neu

    It looks like you're using the custom header image. Go to the Appearance -> Header menu and remove it.

    Once you're removed the custom header image, you can then update your style.css file withe the code you've written above. Just delete line 2. and you should be good to go.

    Here's a post about editing the custom header image if you want to check it out: http://www.magnet4marketing.net/2010/12/18/how-to-add-custom-header-logo-to-studiopress-premium-wordpress-themes/

    December 21, 2012 at 1:51 pm in reply to: call to action button in education theme #6718
    Robert Neu

    You can do this:
    #home-featured .call-to-action .more-link {
    float:right;
    }

    From there you'll probably have to adjust the placement some, but that should at least get it fitting into the call to action space.

    You should see it on or around line 1257. Change it to this:

    .enews {

    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;

    }

    December 21, 2012 at 1:33 pm in reply to: Minimum Theme – Extend Navigation Width Outside Wrap #6712
    Robert Neu
    Member

    You can try changing:

    #wrap {

        background-color: #FFFFFF;
        margin: 0 auto;
        overflow: hidden;
        padding: 0 10px;
        width: 960px;

    }

    To this:

    #wrap {

        background-color: #FFFFFF;
        margin: 0 auto;
        overflow: visible;
        padding: 0 10px;
        width: 960px;

    }

    But you may wind up with some other display issues doing that. Give it a shot and see if it causes any problems. If you do have problems post them up and I'll help you debug.
