Thanks for the suggestion.
edsMemberDoes anyone else have web hosting suggestions? Sorry, I forgot to mention that I would like to find a reliable company that won't force me into a yearly contract. I realize that many have money back guarantees, but I don't want to have to buy a year of hosting at a time, thanks.
edsMemberHello Victor,
Thanks for the suggestion; I'll take a look at their site.
Sincerely,
EDSedsMemberHI Christoph,
Thanks so much, this worked!
I also added the:
.nav-secondary {
display: none;
}.nav-primary {
display: block;
}under the @media only screen and (max-width: 480px) { media query as well, and decreased the padding-top: 64px by about half. Thanks so much for your help!
edsMemberHI Jamie,
Sorry, in my reply above, I forgot to add that if moving the secondary menu is not really feasible, could you point me towards a resource that outlines your other suggestion of using a different menu for mobile views? Thanks again for all your help!
edsMemberHi Jamie,
Thanks so much for your help! This worked perfectly. My last question is about the hamburger menu. Could you me how to place the hamburger menu off campus, at the top left or right of the screen, or point me to a resource or tutorial that has the steps? I amusing the secondary menu, the one in the middle of the page, thanks.
edsMemberHi Jamie,
Thanks so much for your reply. I am familiar with css, but not so much with mobile and the media queries. Where would I set the display: none ? Thanks.
edsMemberThanks, it worked!
edsMemberThanks so much, it's working!
edsMemberHi Christoph,
Thanks so much for the tip and the screenshots!
edsMemberThanks, I thought that even though technically Magazine Pro is a child theme of Genesis, all changes had to be made in a child theme because otherwise, changes would be lost after an update. And also, it's good to be able to switch back to the original if needed or wanted. I use them with all my Studiopress themed sites, and with my other sites as well...
sidebar .widget-title does exist and appears with the link style and the .magazine-home .content .widget-title. So that is why changing that value changed all the bars - home top, middle, and side. I deleted it (so that it doesn't appear under the .magazine-home .content .widget-title) pasted it on it's own and defined it, and it seems to be working. This was in the browser, I haven't tried it in an actual file but it should work there as well. Thanks so much for your help!
edsMemberThanks, I'll take a look at this site.
edsMemberThanks so much for the suggestion; I will check it out.
edsMemberHi Everyone,
I've solved the problem, turns out that it was in the database.
edsMemberHello Brad Dalton,
I deleted the images and was left with a blank header area - still no text...
edsMemberHi Christoph Thanks, I am using that plug in and didn't realize that it hadn't been updated in two years; thanks for pointing that out. I think I'll find a more current alternative ...
