I need help, not support. I am financially broke, I cannot afford to get the equipment nor proper food needed to start losing weight. I need a miracle. I aim for a better life but I'm losing this battle. I didn't want to post this, but it's what these blogs are here for right? And it's easier to say out loud my first world problems then keeping it all in, feeling myself blow up like a balloon. ALL that is needed to lose fat with venis factor is a consistent calorie deficit over time. No extra money is required. Sure, extra money helps buy whatever food you want and might make the path a little smoother but we all have to make this work with our own individual set of circumstances, personalities, preferences, etc. I assure you you are far from the only one here living on a very tight budget. It takes a little time and energy to set yourself up for success but with consistency and belief you can form habits conducive to your goals. Start by logging your calories on a free online app like myfitnesspal. Log everything you eat and drink. Take that data to identify where extra calories are coming from. Do yo just need to reduce portions? Are there entire things like soda and junk food you can cut out almost completely except as occasional treats? You'd be surprised how really rather small changes consistently executed can lead to big, big change. As for the exercises, many people don't even add them until later for many reasons, maybe fitness level or lack of equipment. That's ok. Just start moving more. Walk every day. However, you will find there are many exercises that only use body weight. Kingjenia posted a list of them once, I'll find it and link it here in a minute. Edit: Exercise requiring NO equipment... it's a pretty long list http://community.venusindex.com/show...g-no-equipment There is a LOT you can do without spending a cent. In fact, I actually spend less on groceries now because I shop smarter and have almost completely elimanted a lot of pricey snack food, cereals and treats. I now buy more meat and fish and as that can be expensive I have become an expert on both sourcing it cheaply and making a little go a long way. This is possible for anyone, anytime, anywhere. No it's not easy and yes we all feel pretty overwhelmed when we see the obstacles ahead. But there are ALWAYS solutions because ultimately it's about eating less and moving more. Keep sharing with us - spill out your worries and frustrations; tell us your little success and the tricks you learn to make this happen. First of all - welcome and as the other Venuses have already said...a lot can be done with nothing more than what you already have. A no fancy new foods - just less of the foods you already love. You have access to a computer or a phone. Then you find calorie for just about anything you eat sd you can either keep a notebook or use a calorie counting free app/web-site - a lot of us use My Fitness Pal (they have a fairly substantial food database). Good luck - we are all here cheering for your success.
