Stem it is an acronym derived from the words Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. STEM-education focuses primarily on these disciplines, but offers to study them not separately from each other, but in an integrated and practical way. For example, by assembling a robot or a smart greenhouse, students acquire relevant knowledge of physics or biology, perform mathematical calculations, and acquire design, programming, and automation skills that they can apply in real life. In addition, they develop integrated thinking and learn teamwork. It is assumed that STEM education helps to master the "skills of the XXI century" and creates a foundation for the professions of the future. The STEM approach has been actively developed in the United States over the past few decades. From there, it quickly spread to Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa and other regions. This is not surprising, because, according to known forecasts, the rapid evolution of technology will lead to the fact that the most promising professionals in the future will be programmers, IT specialists, engineers and specialists in the field of high technology.
