Okay I will check those 2 out... right now I just found All In One Event Calendar but I can only publish the actual calendar on a separate page, not on the home page widgeted area. The only widget is the upcoming events which just lists them out. But they want a calendar actually to be on the home page too.
So thanks for sharing those others will see if they can display the calendar in a widget area.

Oh wow thank you! This is a Multisite... so I could create the new site and then yes use the More Privacy Options plugin.

Well the theme their website is on is Education... they didn't want to pay for another website for their intranet.
I don't know about Premise...I will look that up. I'm not sure though how it would work with them wanting their own blog for their Intranet on this new "page"... while at the same time having their Corporate Blog going on (as it is now in the Education theme).
Yes they were indeed wanting a calendar plugin (like Google Calendar).
I just don't know if you can truly have an Intranet site built on the same theme/installation as their corporate main website.

Okay thank you for that feedback. I think what this client wants to have accomplished is just not possible. I will open up a new topic because I REALLY need feedback if it even is.

Oh okay I didn't know the Premise was a plugin so I will check that out. Sounds like a good alternative solution to Wishlist too. I really appreciate your feedback thank you!!
Well the employee information would be a member area... so I assume that you all agree to have a separate WordPress website built (maybe on a subdomain) for the employees of the company to be able to login to and see the owner's blog posts, event calendar, etc.
I will though check out the Highrise by 37 Signals.

I've taken a brief look at Yoast... looks like a lot of "guidance" with the settings... which could be helpful!

Can you please explain why this is the case that it shouldn't be ran with 'www'... yes I can just edit the links in the text widgets but I just would like to know why it can't retain 'www' in the URL. Did I setup something wrong?

Okay thank you both for clarifying that! Andrea told me about that Replicator plugin... I will look at that some more. I was hoping that the "mother" site of pages would populate somehow to the "child" sites but it sounds like that is not the case. Okay now that I know how it works, will move forward.
