Susan is correct - the plugin does not work with Genesis 2.0....however the code from the link that is provided above seems to be doing the trick...I'm still fiddling with it though....the only two media queries that I'm concerned about are:
@media only screen and (max-width: 320px) and @media only screen and (max-width: 480px). Is it correct or bad coding to specify a logo size for each of these screen sizes? For instance, for @media only screen and (max-width: 320px), I specified the image to be 244px wide and 70px high...I've had good luck changing it with the 320px size (iphone) but if I change it for the 480px screen size, then it also increases the logo size on the 320px screen. Is there a way to specify 320px and under for one image and then another image size for 321px to 480px?
@ithacaindy - thanks for checking...i'm making some progress and am still fiddling with it...very frustrating!!! lolOctober 3, 2013 at 7:01 pm in reply to: Lifestyle Pro – reduce space around header image in mobile view #65294chantal2012MemberHi there...I have a question for you (sorry not an answer)...I've also been using Lifestyle for years and was excited about the new Lifestyle Pro...I am however, getting very frustrated with the whole mobile responsive issue....how did you get your header to be responsive...I just can't figure it out! Any help would be very much appreciated! 🙂 http://lifestylepro.kaleidoscopedesignstudios.com/
chantal2012MemberThat tutorial is just to get the logo in there....no mention of making it responsive.:(
chantal2012MemberI'm interested in finding this out as well
chantal2012MemberI posted a quick example of what is going on at http://lifestylepro.kaleidoscopedesignstudios.com/. Scroll down and you will see a square sprite. As I mentioned before, it is choppy when you hover over it.
chantal2012MemberThanks guys...the ones that you suggested look very promising! 🙂
chantal2012MemberThanks Brad...that worked...I don't know what I was doing wrong before!
chantal2012MemberI tried using that but I didn't know where or how to put the "embed" link into my post...I tried everything but it didn't work.
chantal2012MemberThanks Brad! I will try this!
chantal2012MemberOk thanks Brad! That's great! But is there not a way to edit the HTML file?
chantal2012MemberHi Gary,
No...I have kind of given up on it...:(
chantal2012MemberYes but how do I get it to resize automatically? For instance, with the Lifestyle Theme the wrap has a width of 960px...how do make it so that it resizes automatically to the width of the screen? I'm not sure if I'm explaining myself correctly...
chantal2012MemberI'm thinking this would be called a "fluid" width layout? Is that correct?
chantal2012MemberI'm still wondering about this issue...when I say full width layout, I mean that the width of the site automatically fits the width of the screen, on whatever size monitor.
chantal2012MemberNo that is not the issue that I'm having (but I did fix that line thank you for pointing it out). As it stands, I have a "submit" button on the sign up form (homepage) and another "submit" button on the contact form (Contact page). If I change the code so make the submit button on the sign up form (to expose the one that I designed), then the submit button on the contact form also disappears. I've tried to change the code using the specific class for the submit button on the sign up form, but it still affects the button on the contact form. This is the code that I changed to:
#bbp_reply_submit.formsubmit, #bbp_topic_submit, input[type="button"], input[type="submit"] { background:transparent; border:none; }
I can't seem to figure this out at all and this is the last thing that I have to do for this client...Please help!
chantal2012MemberI am very nervous about doing this for the first time....I have built a new site for a client at http://telephonetraininguk.co.uk/new and want to transfer it to http://telephonetraininguk.co.uk. With Anitac's method, I'm assuming that the links have to be updated manually? I would probably try Brad's idea (just because the plugin does seem easier and the links get updated)...However, I am just not sure of the steps...can anyone recommend a good tutorial for this?
April 5, 2013 at 3:57 pm in reply to: Making header, nav bar and footer span across width of screen #33376chantal2012MemberThat's the part that I don't know...exactly how do I remove them from the wrap? I'm really not good with PHP at all...
chantal2012MemberNevermind...figured it out...
chantal2012MemberHere is the code that I was using:
<div class="facebook"><a href="http://www.facebook.com/KaylensRising"><img src="http://yvesrobichaud.com/wp-content/themes/lifestyle/images/facebook2.png"></a> <div class="twitter"><a href="https://twitter.com/yvesr72"><img src="http://yvesrobichaud.com/wp-content/themes/lifestyle/images/twitter.png"></a> <div class="rss"><a href="http://yvesrobichaud.com/feed/"><img src="http://yvesrobichaud.com/wp-content/themes/lifestyle/images/rss.png"></a>
chantal2012MemberI can't get the code to show up right in my inquiry above.
