I figured it out. I needed to set the Genesis default theme to include a sidebar, then individually set each page where I do not want the sidebar to appear.
byStevenRamirezParticipantBrad, thanks. Odd that it doesn’t work on my phone. I’ll continue investigating.

I’m not sure what’s going on. It might have something to do with caching, but I can’t be sure. (I’ve restored everything.) Here’s the scenario:
1. Make the latest change to the style sheet.
2. Add the custom code to the additional CSS section of the theme.
3. Check the preview area on WordPress—the changes work for mobile.
4. Check my phone using both Safari and Chrome—the changes work.
5. Wait 30 minutes without changing anything else.
6. Repeat Step 4—the sub-menu is messed up again with the menu items in white and almost invisible.Does StudioPress have Premium Support I can pay for to have someone fix this for me? Or is there another solution? I’ve spent a week on this and need to move on to other things.
Thanks again for your help.

As I said, though, it messes up the menus. When you click on the hamburger, menu items do not show unless you hover over them. I need a solution that displays the site header image without touching the menus. Does that make sense?
