    And I also don't know why I'm seeing a gray bar above the site banner?

    I want to take out that bar and use the entire space above the banner for my logo/header and nav bar.

    Yes, it's http://www.triplebraidedlife.com

    I had it in maintenance mode, but I'll take it off to show you. Thank you!

    O.K. - I"m reading through all of this, but I can't seem to fix my problem. When I uploaded a header, the header is centered with the nav bar below. I want it to look just like the demo but using my own name/header in the top left - where "Beautiful Theme" is.

    OK, I don't think I know how to turn off caching besides the plugin.

    I put the code under Appearance: Editor: Header. I put it underneath the other code under header.

    It's still not working. 🙁

    Actually, it didn't work. I tried a different header and that's what I'm seeing. The old header is still not centered. I will try your second suggestion. Thank you!

    I just went to my site, and it works now! I guess the first suggestion took some time to show up. Thank you for your time and help!!

    Ryan, thank you for your help, but your suggestion didn't work. I did something to it a few weeks ago when I was trying to make it full width.

    I put the code you suggested under the "Header" section int he style.css, but nothing changed.

    Any other suggestions?

    I don't even know where you're seeing these. When I go to "Edit CSS" under Appearance, this is all I see:

    /*
    Welcome to Custom CSS!

    CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is a kind of code that tells the browser how
    to render a web page. You may delete these comments and get started with
    your customizations.

    By default, your stylesheet will be loaded after the theme stylesheets,
    which means that your rules can take precedence and override the theme CSS
    rules. Just write here what you want to change, you don't need to copy all
    your theme's stylesheet content.
    */

    I find what I need to change when I use the "Inspect Element" tool by right-clicking, but I don't know where to change it. I tried to change it in "Editor" under "Stylesheet (style.css)", but it's not working.

    I may be in over my head. Is there a code I can put in "Edit CSS" to change it?

    Yes, the green menu bar. I don't remember how to unminify it. I know I did that once a long time ago, but can't recall how now.

    I went into Editor and (style.css) and this is what's there now:

    /***** Secondary Navigation ********************/

    #subnav {
    background: #F3F3F3;
    color: #666666;
    font-family: "Palatino Linotype", "Book Antiqua", Palatino, serif;
    font-size: 13px;
    margin: 0 auto 0;
    text-transform: uppercase;
    border: 1px solid #DDDDDD;
    clear: both;
    overflow: hidden;
    }

    #subnav ul {
    margin: 0 auto;
    list-style: none;
    padding: 0;
    border: 1px solid #FFFFFF;
    }

    Thank you for your time!!
