Okay, I have fixed the issue mentioned above and it's looking better.
Now, I'm wondering why the mobile menu only displays the Home menu button when you open it. It's missing a few other menu options. Any ideas?
bhaleMemberHey Nick, thanks for responding. You were absolutely right. Deactivating the plugin and clearing the cache fixed the problem.
When I did it before I just disabled Shareaholic for those pages only.
Any suggestions on a better social media sharing plugin?
bhaleMemberHey Pavle, I'm flattered that you want to use my design.
It's been a few months since I set this up, but I am using the Genesis Featured Page plugin. To get them centered I had to play with the width (as a percentage) and then play with the paddings to get them centered.
Here is how the widgets are set:
.home-top { background: #e0e0e0; clear: both; overflow: hidden; padding: 15px 0 0 0; padding: 1.5rem 0 0 0; } .home-top .widget { float: right; padding: 0 1.0%; width: 25%; background: #e0e0e0; }
So, you'll probably want to set each widget area at 33% and then adjust the paddings until they all three fit in a line with even spacing. My mobile site isn't that well-designed, but I have noticed that they do stack on top of each other when setup this way.
Hopefully this gets you going in the right direction.
bhaleMemberI decided that going with bbPress was the best route. Already switched over.
Not the answer I was looking for originally, but probably the best solution in the end.
Thanks again for helping!
bhaleMemberHi essay, thanks for responding!
I've tried disabling Yoast and all other plugins, but the problem happens regardless. And, I'd prefer to keep Yoast. I had Yoast and Simple:Press working before I moved over to Genesis (and Synthesis hosting).
I'd like to keep Simple:Press because they have a bunch of options, but they've been a pain to integrate from the start. And, I don't really want to pay them $36 to answer a single question. If it comes to that, I'd rather just move to a different forum solution.
I contacted StudioPress support and they mentioned that I could modify the PHP code in my functions.php file to handle the title differently, but unfortunately they couldn't help me with the code and I don't have any experience with PHP to be able to do it on my own.
In the tweet I linked to above, Simple:Press acknowledged the difference in how different themes/plugins handle the wp_title and they seem to have suggested that it can be fixed with a "hook update." So, I was hopeful that that meant that I could add a hook to fix the problem.
bhaleMemberThat did the trick! Thank you my friend! Your help is greatly appreciated.
