Didn't work for me and I have the exact same problem...a logo I want to use that's 500px x 127px and changing the function file as noted above didn't fix the problem for me. What's the solution, what am I doing wrong?

Would love to know what the solution was....because none of the answers i've read posted here worked for me. I have a logo 500px x 127px and make it show up by simply changes the functions file to reflect the changed size of custom image.
