November 30, 2012 at 10:03 am in reply to: Gallery: 1 Picture and Description Per Page (looking for plugin) #2531AnitaKeymasterI see one of the plugins they are using is something called Lazy Loads. It's free and in the repository - see if this is what you are looking for http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/lazy-load/.
**I added the wrong link before, so it's not the link that showed up in your email.**

November 30, 2012 at 9:58 am in reply to: Problem with Widget added to Luscious Theme – PHP or CSS issue? #2529AnitaKeymasterOkay, did you add to what you have or did you use Brian's instead. Maybe if you go back and do it per Brian's instructions you can get it to work. It works like a charm for me. Good luck.

November 30, 2012 at 7:35 am in reply to: Problem with Widget added to Luscious Theme – PHP or CSS issue? #2486AnitaKeymasterWhere you put your second set of functions - I think you need to REPLACE it - here is Brian's code (I modified to add your elements)
** Add the home featured section */
add_action( 'genesis_before_loop', 'child_before_posts_sidebar' );
function child_before_posts_sidebar() {/** Do nothing on page 2 or greater */
if ( get_query_var( 'paged' ) >= 2 )
return;genesis_widget_area( 'before-posts-sidebar', array(
'before' => '<div>',
) );}
I think it should look something like that.

AnitaKeymasterIs there anyone that can help on this?

AnitaKeymasterOne of the workarounds I use to accomplish this is by using the "Page Links To" Plugin. For whatever item I want to show in the Slider, I create an placeholder Post or Page for it. So for example - if you are using Posts Only. But you have a Page you want to show up - Create an empty Post with the same Title --> Save it --> Copy URL. Then, go to the Page you want in the Slider --> Paste the URL in the Page Links To area and save it. That page will now show up in the Slider. This works well as long as you don't need to use this a lot.
Plugin is here - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/page-links-to/

November 30, 2012 at 6:58 am in reply to: Problem with Widget added to Luscious Theme – PHP or CSS issue? #2478AnitaKeymasterDid you add an image to the Featured Image for the Slider *and* did you add that same picture to the body? The slider is showing up on ALL pages. Can you copy and paste the code you used to get the slider in there?
**Added** This is a very easy way to get the slider or other widget area on your home page only. Read this - http://www.briangardner.com/home-widget-area-eleven40/.

November 29, 2012 at 8:49 pm in reply to: Problem with Widget added to Luscious Theme – PHP or CSS issue? #2445AnitaKeymasterLook for this in your style.css and then add a bottom margin to it - margin-bottom: 15px;
.before-posts-sidebar {
background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #DDDDDD;
padding: 10px;}

AnitaKeymasterGo to your Slider settings. Look under "Type of Content" and make sure you have "Posts" selected. The images need to be the correct size of the slider - they will not upsize theme. If the images are too small, they won't show up. What are the dimensions you are using? It also looks like you have more than one type of widget in the Slider area.

AnitaKeymasterI like the slider and the images rotating. Nice job.

November 29, 2012 at 5:33 pm in reply to: New Design of a Relationship, Marriage & Dating Advice Website #2418AnitaKeymasterYes, nice and clean. I would also use some Tags on the blogs too. Tags related to the topic being discussed. I'd add a separator in between the two Google Adsense on the blogs - and be careful with those - you are only allowed 3 per page per Google guidelines.

AnitaKeymasterHere is the code - you will just need to add in the location you want it in - http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/navigation-menus#reposition-secondary

AnitaKeymasterLook in your Style.css for the #Sidebar - you will see the width in there. Adjusting this may require you to change the wrap or to modify it's width as well. **Update** Please post a link to your site.
