Interesting. I hadn't thought of that. I'm not well versed in PHP functions. How would I go about excluding that particular listing within the function?
agentpress-listings/includes/class-featured-listings-widget.php
$loop = ''; /** initialze the $loop variable */ $loop .= sprintf( '<a href="%s">%s</a>', get_permalink(), genesis_get_image( array( 'size' => 'properties' ) ) ); $loop .= sprintf( '<span class="listing-price">%s</span>', genesis_get_custom_field('_listing_price') ); $custom_text = genesis_get_custom_field( '_listing_text' ); if( strlen( $custom_text ) ) $loop .= sprintf( '<span class="listing-text">%s</span>', esc_html( $custom_text ) ); $loop .= sprintf( '<span class="listing-address">%s</span>', genesis_get_custom_field('_listing_address') ); $loop .= sprintf( '<span class="listing-city-state-zip">%s, %s %s</span>', genesis_get_custom_field('_listing_city'), genesis_get_custom_field('_listing_state'), genesis_get_custom_field('_listing_zip') ); $loop .= sprintf( '<a href="%s" class="more-link">%s</a>', get_permalink(), __( 'View Listing', 'apl' ) ); $toggle = $toggle == 'left' ? 'right' : 'left';
April 24, 2014 at 5:07 pm in reply to: Hiding listings from Featured Listing area on homepage #102249angulosaMemberThe featured listings are on the homepage of the website. The featured listings area simply pulls the most recent listings published to the site.
On the homepage, I have 12 featured listings so the most recently published 12 listings are automatically pulled to that area. I would like to hide one of the 12 that are being pulled.
For example, the 9th listing in the featured listing area of the homepage is the one I would like to hide. It says Rodeo Viejo, Panama under it. The link to the listing is http://www.trypanama.com/listings/beautiful-custom-built-homes-gated-community-azura-rodeo-viejo-panama/
I want to hide that listing from the featured listing area and not the entire site. It should still display on the "For Sale" navigation menu tab and the "Beach Projects" navigation menu tab.
angulosaMemberGreat suggestion! Thanks 🙂
December 23, 2013 at 1:22 pm in reply to: AgentPress Listing Search Widget – Catchable Fatal Error #80939angulosaMemberI copied down the wrong line of code...darn dyslexia!
Here's the code at line 2857:
$url = preg_replace('|[^a-z0-9-~+_.?#=!&;,/:%@$\|*\'()\\x80-\\xff]|i', '', $url);
Here's the surrounding code:
function esc_url( $url, $protocols = null, $_context = 'display' ) { $original_url = $url; if ( '' == $url ) return $url; $url = preg_replace('|[^a-z0-9-~+_.?#=!&;,/:%@$\|*\'()\\x80-\\xff]|i', '', $url); $strip = array('%0d', '%0a', '%0D', '%0A'); $url = _deep_replace($strip, $url); $url = str_replace(';//', '://', $url);
angulosaMemberI upgraded to the most current version, 3.8. I finally got the permalinks to /%postname%/ structure to work on the listings thanks to the above suggestions. As it turns out, I had to delete a plugin rather than just deactivate it to find the source of the problem. Multiple Category Selection Widget was the offending plugin that needed to be deleted, a plugin that was never activated in the first place!
angulosaMemberangulosaMemberTrypanama.com
I have changed the permalink structure back to default in case I have site visitors.
angulosaMemberI got the taxonomy order the way I want it. Now, to figure out how to add the propertyID taxonomy in the search widget without the fatal error as I noted above and to get all the property IDs to display in the drop down of the search widget.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated
angulosaMemberHow would I go about creating my own search tool. This seems to be a much better option as the new taxonomies that are added over time aren't necessarily added in alphabetic order.
angulosaMemberI have tried deleting the plugin and it's files, then reinstalling the plugin, but the invalid taxonomy still exists! Where can I successfully delete this? I'm pulling my hair out now :o/
