AngelaMemberThanks so much! I found BlogNews this morning, but frankly, I'm always leery of free themes. It seems like the support fades away after a while.
I will send a note.
Thanks so much!

AngelaMemberDerek -
I really like how you customized the theme on this site!

August 13, 2013 at 12:50 pm in reply to: News Theme – Left & Right Widget Areas Have Different Fonts… #56130AngelaMemberFastlane - Thanks for sharing about the Design Palette plugin. I'm checking it out now and really like it. I love the different plugins for Genesis. I could never use them all, but it is wonderful to know these themes are so well-supported with quality plugins.
While it is sometimes frustrating to find information in the community forums, I have found several designers who have wonderful tutorials on their personal blogs. I subscribe to a handful and keep the links on hand.
Cheers!

August 8, 2013 at 12:02 pm in reply to: Featured post, then excerpts in Metro theme categories #55021AngelaMemberI ended up using the Genesis Grid plugin and it seems to do what we want. I've experimented with categories on pages and will use that as a backup.
Thanks!

AngelaMemberThanks! I really hate messing with code, so I did a little experiment and got this to work. (But I'm hanging on to the coding above, just in case!)
I ended up creating a header image that is 1080x87. I put my logo flush left and left white space the rest of the way. Then, I put the ad serving code in the Genesis Header Hook - and it worked. For whatever reason, the Header Right widget is not working most of the time. I got it to work once, but it shrunk the ad (probably because of the sizing issue remedied by the #header/#title resize.
This is the first time I've really worked with hooks. Could this actually be a fix that will work long-term? Or should I go ahead with coding?
A link to the development site is below. This is a test area before we bring the new theme, so I can play to my heart's content.
