Hey everyone Thanks for the feedback!
Victor - The main target audience I am aiming for is people searching for affordable web design. Compared to my top competitors, I would have to say that I use a much simpler approach to creating the designs, no technical jargon, and a fairly affordable pricing point that offers everything a company would need at the start of any website.
Magnet - It's taken me quite a lot of time to get to where I am as I only just started the concept of my business a year ago and began learning WordPress and creating websites, and even now i'm making more and more adjustments. The theme I chose is called Hello Pro by Genesis.
Whiteley Designs - Could you describe what you mean by dated? The invisible links was just a problem with a plugin that has been fixed. Also, I agree with the buttons and am working on a better solution. As for the home page being busy, most of the text below the fold is more for SEO purposes than to actually grab people attention. The main points of interest for people should be the nav bar and three featured sections on the top half of the page.
Thanks again,

I'm a wordpress and genesis begginer. #218906AffordableMarketingGuyMemberFrom a design standpoint, it's not bad for a beginner, but there are always plenty ways to make it better. For example, you shouldn't split up the menu items. Keep them together so people know that it is the main place they need to look for main content.
Secondly, I see you have your page setup to just showcase your blog posts, but then you also have separate pages for each category you write about. Depending on if you want your site to be mainly a blog site, or if you want it to be a sort of business type page, then i would keep all of the blog posts separate from the home page.
Your Home page should be focused with imagery and descriptions of what you are all about. Tell people what this site is all about before they even click on one of your blog posts.
Having a featured post on your home page is a great idea, but it doesn't necessarily have to be the first thing on the page. Don't be afraid to write about what you do. It'll give a better understanding to those people who need help.Be sure to keep writing more and more content to keep your website fresh and updated and be sure to look into the widgets, because there are some pretty cool tools to use that can help make any site look better.
Keep up the good work though!
