found answer in another post and adapted it. you need this in your functions.php
function gd_nav_menu_args( $args ){
if( ( 'primary' == $args['theme_location'] ) && is_page_template ('template.php') )
{
$args['menu'] = 'name'; // Add your menu name here. My case it is "Menu for Page"
}return $args;
}add_filter( 'wp_nav_menu_args', 'gd_nav_menu_args' );
aam82Membersorry for the bump
aam82Memberthis works-thank you!
aam82MemberEvent Espresso.
Maybe I should say that the plugin uses CPTs. So, how can I force Genesis SEO metabox on a custom post type? Thanks
aam82MemberThank you, but I'm not having luck with that. It displays the form, but not the comments. genesis_get_comments_template(); displays both (but not the number of comments.)
aam82MemberThe answer is to add this to the custom loop
genesis_get_comments_template();that's it!
aam82Memberthanks for your reply.
I found a spot in my template that works using the code I posted.I now have a comment form, and it works, but it doesn't display the comments. However, I can see them in the dashboard. Akismet is disabled.
What can I add to the following code to display Genesis comments? bold text is from a plugin template I modified, maybe this part needs to go? Thanks
<?php
if ( ! post_password_required() && ( comments_open() || get_comments_number() ) ) :
?><br />
<?php do_action( 'genesis_before_comments' );
do_action( 'genesis_comments' );
do_action( 'genesis_after_comments' );do_action( 'genesis_before_pings' );
do_action( 'genesis_pings' );
do_action( 'genesis_after_pings' );do_action( 'genesis_before_comment_form' );
do_action( 'genesis_comment_form' );
do_action( 'genesis_after_comment_form' ); ?> -
