    Hello,

I am using the plugin Genesis Simple Sidebars.
I was wondering if there is a way to reorder the Widget Areas created in the WP Dashboard.
I mean reordering the Widget "containers" like: Primary Sidebar, Secondary Sidebar, Header Right.

    Thanks,

    On what screen?

If you're referring to the meta boxes, you can use the 6th parameter for $priority

    $priority
The priority within the context where the boxes should show ('high', 'core', 'default' or 'low')

    add_meta_box( 'ss_inpost_metabox', __( 'Sidebar Selection', 'ss' ), 'ss_inpost_metabox', $type, 'side', 'low' );

Note: This does require modification of the SS plugin as there's no WordPress filter i know of to alter the position.

    Hi Braddalton,

    Thanks for the reply.
I am referring to the widgets in the Apperance/Widget screen.
For example I have in this order:
    1 Header Right
    2 Primary Sidebar
    3 Secondary Sidebar
    4-7 Footer Widget
8 and on - My widgets created with Simple Sidebar. These are the ones I'd like to reorder after I have created them.

    Thanks,

You would need to find a filter in Genesis to change that if included otherwise you could remove the widget and then add it back with a different priority from your child theme.
