    Hello,

I have a past client who recently contacted me
about the Magazine 1.0 install on their site.

They have never updated WordPress, and are
on 2.9.2, neither have any Studio Press updates
    been done.

They asked me to update WordPress to 3.6,
any feedback on if this will break the site?

    Thanks,
    Bill Enross

I would probably install WP 3.6 on a test site, install Genesis 2.0 and the Magazine 1.0 with dummy content. Test it before going into a LIVE environment. If you install 3.6... and it goes haywire, you'll probably want to revert back to an early version. But I'd test it out somewhere else.

there will be issues. This is the old Magazine theme, pre Genesis. The option system breaks in WordPress 3.4. We can help fix it, but your client needs to update to a Genesis child theme for future proof updating. Your client can update for free if they purchased Magazine. have them contact us. We can get them setup with a my.studiopress.com account and access to the new themes.
