Hello,

I am new to use WordPress so need your help Guys i want to change permalink of my blog JaGGy i want "Category/Post Title/unique Id" type permalink and also want to know if i change permalink setting will my old url get 404 error or it will auto redirect to new link?

Hi,

go to settings - permalink - custom structure.
Here is a list of the available tags: https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks

Wordpress should auto redirect, but you can always test and make sure it does. If not you can use a redirection plugin.

I am using example.com/%postname%/ in my blogs. I used this format in my blog http://recruitmentnet.in/ . I hope this is the best permalink structure. I dont know it has advantage for recruitment notification blogs

Yes We can Use Any Type. Am Using /%category%/%post_id%
Like http://www.example.com/%category%/%post_id% . hope its give clean Link to Crawl

Use example.com/%postname%/ for regular blogs with "timeless" content.

Hello Sneha, you can follow this steps: Login WordPress Admin -> Go to Settings -> permalink – custom structure.

In Custom structure : You can set /%category%/%Post_Name%/%post_id%

We set same permalink structure for our education website helpbase.in

Hi, You can change it without getting the 404 error. and if you are still doubting that you will get 404 error, you can test it before and if you get kindly get back to wordpress official permalinks settings tips and help.
