Hi - I am using WooCommerce with Genesis/News theme. I am using Genesis 1.9.2 and I have installed Genesis Connect for woocommerce.

I have also installed WooThemes updater and WooCommerce PayPal Advanced plugins.

I have created two products so far. I have set a featured image and created an image gallery for each product. I have used Regenerate Thumbnails to regenerate the thumbnails.

The problem I am having is that when a product is added to the cart, the product thumbnail does not display in the cart. There is only a broken image icon.

Here is a link to the product page:

    http://performingforkids.com/shop/

If you put one of the products in the cart, it will take you automatically to the cart overview, where the broken image link is visible.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance,
    Kipley

    1. Have you tried use the default to twenty twelve theme?

    2. If that does not solve your problem, that means the news theme has no problem. For WooCommerce specific problem, I recommend asking in their forum or from their support staff.

Thank you - I have posted in the woocommerce and wordpress forums and received no answer, so I thought I would try here.

It had not occurred to me to switch to twenty twelve and see if the problem persists. I just did that and was still seeing the broken image icon in the cart, so apparently it's not an issue with News or Genesis.

But perhaps someone else here has had a similar problem and found a fix?

    Thanks,

    Kipley

A quick follow up - the problem was solved. I noticed that the cart was requesting the images from https:// instead of http://. But I am using PayPal Advanced, and did not need an SSL certificate for this site. Tech support at Woo suggested unchecking the "force secure checkout" box in the settings, but that box was already unchecked.

But I also have Premise installed on this site, and I wondered if perhaps those settings were affecting the WooCommerce cart. Under Member Access > Security Settings in Premise, I noticed that the "enable SSL on checkout page" was checked. I didn't realize that settings in Premise could impact the WooCommerce cart, but when I unchecked that box, the images appeared in the cart.
