    Hi WooCommerce gurus

I’m trying how to work out the process for selling a digital product – that is not a download – using WooCommerce and the subscription extension for a magazine client and need some help.

They are selling a digital version of their magazine which is viewed online – using Issuu (a service which makes an emag). The iframe code supplied by Issuu has been added to a password protected page – this page shows one thing if the person hasn’t subscribed to the emag and shows the online version of the emag to those who have purchased it.

What I’m unsure of is the process of advising the purchase of the emag how to access it on the website i.e. how do we direct them to the page with the emag on it once they’ve purchase either a single issue or a subscription? I can find information online about how to manage a downloadable product, but this will be viewed online.

I’ve sent a query off to WooThemes but haven’t yet had any reply. As I’ve not had much experience with WooCommerce I would greatly appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

and another thank you to everyone who answers the questions posted here, it is a real help being able to get this support

Have you considered a membership plugin instead of an ecommerce solution? Maybe a membership plugin would do a better job of screening the content online to only paid members. How often does the magazine come out?

Under the advanced tab in a woocommerce product page editor, you'll see an option for a purchase note. You could include a url here...?

But it may work out best, if you're using WooCommerce, to create a PDF with live links that they download when they purchase.
