    I am trying to get the footer widgets in the old Expose Child Theme, along with a Before Content widget that I added, to work. They appear in Appearance/Widgets, but when I add text to them, the text doesn't appear on the site. Studio Press support advised me to remove two instances of adding footer widgets from the functions.php, and add

    //* Add support for 3-column footer widgets
    add_theme_support( 'genesis-footer-widgets', 3 );

    However, when I did so, the top page of the site got messed up.

    Below is the current functions.php file for the site, followed by the functions.php file after I made the changes as advised. Can anyone advise if I made the changes incorrectly?

    Thanks,

    Frank

    Thanks, Anita. Susan from Studio Press's support staff and I managed to get them working earlier today. Oddly, it required a lot of changes to the original css and functions.php code, but we managed.

    I appreciate your responding.
