    I'm more of a developer than a designer, and it's a bit of a challenge to think of what looks good.

    The way I've been getting design inspiration is by looking at a lot of websites and just figuring out what I like and what I don't like about each one. I'm not really "copying" but I like certain parts of some sites and kinda just put all the pieces together.

    Any other ideas on getting inspiration, or getting "better" as a designer other than the cliche "just practice more"?

    I do like you do - look at websites, either just as I'm browsing in general, but in particular, I visit the Showcase for StudioPress, and the third party designers (disclaimer: I work for Pretty Darn Cute Design, so I have lots of design inspiration there!)
