Tagged: Revolution
Hi all,
I built this website using the new Gutenberg-optimized theme from Genesis called Revolution.
I really liked using Gutenberg. I heard a lot of 'experts' say it wasn't ready yet for prime time ... or it would be OK for posts but not for pages. My experience didn't validate those comments - again, I liked using the new WordPress editor.
The only page I used Beaver builder on was the contact page.
I was able to use 1/2 the plugins from my previous 2 versions of this website for 2 reasons:
1. WordPress core and Genesis theme have more built into them
2. An attitude of minimalism on my part and just wanting to use what's available (as opposed to a bunch of 'trick' stuff that complicates the issue.
I'm not a developer ... just a guy who learned how to use wordpress to build his own websites.
Any feedback or comments or suggestions would be welcome

Why would you install Beaver builder for a single page ? The contact page doesn’t seem complex at all, surely could have sorted that without Beaver Builder.
Thanks for excellent suggestion on sticky menu.
I thought I was going to 'need' BB and created my contact page early in the process. Then I discovered out easy it was to use Gutenberg editor and created the rest of the site with that. I kept thinking I would need BB ... but I really didn't. I should just convert Contact page to Gutenberg and delete BB altogether.
I deleted Beaver Builder ...
The best thing about Gutenberg (and the Revolution theme) is how good it looks on Mobile.
It definitely is 'less robust' for creating desktop websites. But, the responsive look on mobile is more than adequate. AND, it's simple to use.
I'm a big fan of Gutenberg.
