    I want to remove the blue current item color on my Executive Pro theme at http://tinyurl.com/q83augt. I want it to be bare.

    If I was editing a stylesheet, I would have to change the color throughout the theme I gather - and possibly make a functions.php change.

    I don't like that for this small change. Please make a suggestion. I am using the Genesis Extender (and before you say it, I am posting a question on the Cobalt Apps forum). This really comes down to though how people can and should safely change the Genesis default colors and that's a question for here. If the answer is functions.php and css by creating a child theme of Executive Pro, I'm all in, but I want some feedback.

    Thanks.

    To remove it just find this in style.css

    .genesis-nav-menu .current-menu-item > a {
    background-color: #64c9ea;
    color: #fff;
    }

    and change the background color to transparent, or any color you like.

    Thank you surefirewebserv, but I've been doing that for three days on and off and it doesn't work with the Genesis Extender.

    Does anyone else have a similar experience with the Executive Pro theme and editing the default colors and the menu bar? Why can't I change that one item?

    Thanks.
