Want [Read More…] active on post excerpt

Using Agentpress/genesis. Have a blog with posts - everything looks good except at the end of the excerpt there is [...]and it doesn't do anything if clicked.

The excerpts were auto created by the blog page.

I want the nifty blue [Read more...] that takes the user to the full post. I want it as the default when the blog page is genearted.

Select Display post content and set content limit in Genesis > Theme Settings > Content Archives.

That was already done - just like you described.  Everything is working except my posts don't have the [Read more...]  that takes you to the full post - mine just has the [...] that doesn't go anywhere.

With mine you can click on the picture or the title and get there- but you would think you could click in the continue [...] to get to the full post.

Are you sure because you have 2 choices and i tested both.

If you select the excerpts from the drop down menu, you get what you have now.

If you select the content limit, then you get a link at the end to click unlike what you have now.

You are right on target. I had excerpts selected- when I selected content limit I got the [read more...] - except on the home page- I will have to check that out. Thanks Brad.

Put the [...more...] tag in the body of the post that's on your homepage where you don't want the full post listed and it will add the "read more". It worked for me anyway. Not sure if that's the correct way to do it though...
