Not sure why I didn't notice this before, but under the description heading for Wordfence is the following: Wordfence Security - Anti-virus, Firewall and High Speed Cache

I didn't know that Wordfence had a built-in website cache. Does anyone know if this creates a conflict with W3 Total Cache?

    Hi,

Don't activate it if you are already using W3C Total Cache.
(It shouldn't be active by default.)
Let Wordfence worry about security and W3C Total Cache worry about the cache.

Yep, you're right. But it is intriguing. Apparently Wordfence has something called the "Falcon Engine" which they claim delivers a 30-50 times speed increase.

Right after I posted this I started having trouble with W3C Total Cache. It looks like it's recently undergone a major update. Unfortunately, the update has made it unusable, especially for IDX websites, so I've deactivated it in all of my sites. 🙁
