I'm on WordPress 3.9.2, Genesis Framework, Balance Theme. Site is FriscoLifeCoach.com. I've had problems with the visual editor for awhile now: (1) missing icons for some tools and (2) text doesn't always left justify. Below are details:

    1) Some of the visual editor tools/icons are no longer displayed... I promise they were there before! It's like I'm missing part of my toolbar. Meaning, I no longer have icons for things such as: font size (it used to show a dropdown box for paragraph, heading 1, heading 2, etc.), font color, undo/redo, etc. I still have these icons: bold, italic, bullet list, numbered list, link, unlink, align left, align center, align right, blockquote, horizontal line, spell check.

    2) The text won't consistently left justify on my posts... You'll see as you look down the page, a line is randomly indented one space. I space all my sentences 2 spaces apart. All my text is left justified. I've looked in the text editor and nothing appears off there.

    Help!

    Much thanks in advance.

    Hey Christine,

    1. Click the right-most icon, it looks sort-of like a keyboard, or something. That will give you a second row of options.
    2. Actually, I don't see that? Can you be more specific?

    Best,
    Lauren

    1) OMG I'm such an idiot! I clicked the icon you mentioned and POOF! There's the missing toolbar. DUH! Thank you SO MUCH. I'm so embarrassed. I had a feeling it was something simple like that. I tried so many different things. I just knew I was missing something! DUH!

    2) Check out this page: http://www.friscolifecoach.com/escape-the-rat-race/ There are several places where the text isn't left justified. Randomly through out the post. Just scan the left side of the paragraphs, and you should see them.

OK, you're seeing that extra space on the left because of the double space you put after sentences. Since you're forcing a second space, it's showing it - only whenever those two spaces are at the end of a line, they get split and you see one of them on the left, pushing the text over.

    Eg:
You may also want to determine exactly how much money you really need to live on.  Strip down to the bare necessities.  Do you really need 300 cable channels?  Can you move to a location with a cheaper cost of living?  Sometimes you have to take 2-steps backward to take a huge leap forward.

All those  s are forced spaces, and they aren't playing well with your word wrap.

Thank you again! I looked for those in the text editor. I didn't see them. Thank you so much for helping my newbie-self!!!
