    I've answered a lot of questions on this forum, but now I have a question of my own.

    I’m a print designer, writer, and editor, who occasionally creates web sites, and my “coding skills” aren’t the greatest.

    StudioPress no longer sells the Epik theme, but I bought the theme originally here at StudioPress. I have waited two days now for help with this problem on the Epik theme designer's support forum, but haven't gotten answer for this problem...so I'm hoping someone here will help.

    Rather than going with a slider near the top of the home page, I'm using a large image. After I got that image in the way I wanted, I noticed gaps at the top and bottom of my large image,and it took awhile for me to determine what was causing the gaps, but I managed to find the padding and margin settings that were causing the gaps, and I altered my styles.css file to alleviate the problem.

    My changes seem to have totally eliminated the gap at the top of my large image. And my changes eliminated *part* of the gap below the large image.

    *But* there is still a bit of a gap below the large image, and no matter now hard I look, I can’t see the reason for the gap being there, and/or what to do about it.

    Here’s my URL:

    I will be grateful for some help. Thank you.

    Heya,

    I'm not sure where the 8px comes from, but this works responsively:

    .slider-wide .widget {
      margin: -8px auto;
    }

    Hi @Tom,
    Wow...thanks so much for taking a look and coming up with a fix. I tried it out, and it works perfectly. Thank you again...I really appreciate it.
